This is a list of books that I own and recommend. 

At the time of writing this my humble collection is significantly smaller than my wish list but in the interest of authenticity I will only include the books that I already own here. 
Despite the vast amount of information available on the World Wide Web, there is still no substitute for a good book. 
And in the event that our fragile and unsustainable society collapses on itself, a well-chosen book collection will be worth more than all the money in the world!
